Description

Mr. Utterson, the faithful friend and attorney of Dr. Henry Jekyll, is becoming increasignly uneasy about his old friend. Of late Dr. Jekyll has admitted a man into his closest confidences, a man whose character seems increasingly questionable, one Edward Hyde. Rumors abound about hideous deeds done by Hyde and Utterson cannot imagine why his friend would give him the time of day, let alone the key to the back door of his very own house. The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a classic tale of suspense and horror and, like so many othe classics of this genre (such as Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein), it has many deeper themes and ideas to wrestle with than is common in this genres contemporary counterparts.

Study The Great Books is pleased to present this book in one of our unique STGB Annotation Editions! Every book worth reading is also worth adding your own thoughts to and marking up according to the STGB Annotation System. You can now read the Great Books with ample room to write your thoughts, note your observations, and record your own questions about the text.
